About the House

Where memories are made

Our Story

From warehouse
to landmark

Lumière was born from a simple belief: that the right setting transforms an event from ordinary to unforgettable.

In 2010, founder Claire Beaumont walked into a vacant waterfront warehouse and saw past the dust and neglect to what it could become — Portland’s most elegant event venue.

Over the next two years, Claire and a team of architects, designers, and craftspeople transformed the space meticulously — preserving its historic bones while introducing the warmth, light, and refinement that define Lumière today.

Since opening in 2012, we’ve hosted thousands of celebrations — each one unique, each treated with the same care we’d give our own family’s. That philosophy has earned us a reputation as the Pacific Northwest’s premier event destination.

What We Stand For

Three principles

I

Excellence in Every Detail

Extraordinary events are made of a thousand small, perfect details. From the fold of a napkin to the timing of a toast, nothing escapes our attention.

II

Your Vision, Our Craft

Every event is a collaboration. We bring decades of experience and trusted relationships; you bring your personality, preferences, and dreams.

III

Warmth & Hospitality

A beautiful room means nothing without a genuine welcome. Our team is known for making every guest — and every host — feel truly at home.

The People

Behind every evening

A small, devoted team — the hands and minds behind every extraordinary event at Lumière.
